Heir to the Throne follows a young Prince and his journey to becoming king. The first movement sets the scene by establishing the kingdom the Prince wishes to rule over. The second movement establishes the Princes rival who is also gunning for the throne. The ballad is about finding a princess before eventually rounding it out with the coronation in the closer.
